Sonny and Cher's firstborn finishes months of surgeries

(Newser) – Chaz—formerly Chastity—Bono is enjoying the payoff of years of effort: He’s finally a man. Born the daughter of Cher and Sonny Bono, Chaz says his female-to-male sex change was the “end of a long process going back almost a decade. I got clean and sober in 2004 and I couldn't have done this before that.” Then there’s the physical process, which has been ongoing since March: “It lowered my voice," he says. "Fat redistributes, muscle growth, hair growth, sex drive increases."

"I always felt like the male from the time I was a child. There wasn't much feminine about me," Chaz tells Entertainment Tonight. "I believe that gender is something between your ears, not between your legs. That is something I discovered in the early '90s. It was just a long process of being comfortable enough to do something about it."

Ok you blithering idiots, lets be clear: Sex is determined BY THE BRAIN. Not chromosomes (which can be xx, xy, xxy, xxyy, xxxy, xy/xx mosaic) Not genitals (which can be intersexed, PAIS types 1 through 5). The brain studies have been done and the case is closed. This is now scientific FACT. Indisputable. We also know the mechanism where Males do not get the 2nd embryonic testosterone wash and end up female brained and male bodied. (we do not know the mechanism for F2Ms but high testosterone levels in vitro are suspected)

If you are going to rant and rave as experts you're going to have to do better than fifth grade science class.
