Trick-or-Treat ... Mr President

Obamas open White House doors to 2000+ area schoolkids

(Newser) – The leader of the free world may have been masquerading as a frumpy suburban dad and handing out dried fruit, but it was still a pretty cool treat for a couple thousand DC-area kids who went trick-or-treating at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave last night. With the first lady dressed as a leopard, President and Michelle Obama handed out White House M&Ms, White House-shaped sugar cookies, and the aforementioned dessicated fruit.

A brass band in skeleton costumes pumped out gypsy music as makeup artists from a Chicago theater company painted faces and a Rhode Island farmer showed off his 1300-pound pumpkin, reports the Washington Post. Some 2,000 schoolkids chosen at random happily passed through the White House gates, but, professed one 9-year-old: "I'm not a fan of dried fruit."

Too funny! The author is apparently not a fan of dried fruit, either. How wonderful that kids can go trick or treating at the President's house. This story is so heart-warming, even despite the attempt by the author to find something negative to focus on. Okay, countdown to tasteless comments about Michelle's costume from the uninformed and uninspired in 3...2...1... Reply

Well, dried fruit aside (it's super bad for your teeth, so not as healthful as the First Family may think!) I love this story and give the Obamas a big thumbs up on this one.

Forget the dessicated fruit - just where are the pics of Michelle posing as a leopard? Those humungous butt cheeks would bring a tear to the eye of any horny alley cat. See the damp patch. Good to see the O'barfa family doing their bit for the poor folk. Reply

Yup, Have been looking for pictorial coverage of this event all morning. Understand Hello Magazine has reserved the center page spread for LaVaughn's awesome Butt-Tocks. Do all black families in DC celebrate Halloween?
