Complaints Curb Vegas Stripper-Mobile

'We're going to be good citizens' despite uptick in business

(AP) – A Las Vegas strip club has agreed to stop an advertising promotion that involved hauling bikini-clad exotic dancers around in a truck. Larry Beard, marketing director of Déjà Vu Showgirls, said today he's taking his lawyer's advice and parking the truck. "We're going to respect the opinion of the folks that are against it," Beard says. "We're going to be good citizens and take it off the street."

The truck rolled for 13 nights along the Las Vegas Strip from 10pm until 2am, trying to lure customers to the club. The tactic worked, with business booming since the truck started going out, Beard said. The dancers were allowed to perform in the truck because it was classified as a vehicle for hire, which let the dancers ride in the back without seat belts.

Wow, that sucks they had to stop promoting this way as it seems like it would be a great way to get customers into the strip club :) I'm a stripper and think this would be a great way to not only advertise your club, but yourself too. My friend wrote an eBook about how to become a stripper called 'How To Be A Stripper: Everything You Ever Wanted To Know But Were Too Afraid To Ask." As you know, if your club isn't able to promote itself (as in this case where they had to stop the truck from running), you'll have to promote yourself. This eBook goes into that. If you are thinking about becoming a stripper, you should check it out. Here's the web address if you want to read it - http://BeAnExoticDancer.com

creative thinking in tough economic times-too bad it won't fly-so who was it hurting economically that they were told to park it in the rear?

I had a similar idea, they stole it :( I wanted to pull a trailer behind my lawn tractor with three stripper poles attached so the "patrons" could toss tips to the girls :) ..... my wife smacked the back of my head :( so much for that idea
