Antoinette Davis is accused of selling her daughter as a sex slave

(Newser) – The North Carolina woman accused of selling her 5-year-old girl into sexual slavery—the girl's body was found yesterday—is pregnant. Antoinette Davis, 25, is being isolated from other prisoners as a result, reports WTVD. She has not entered a plea to charges of human trafficking, prostitution, and child abuse. Police say she sold young Shaniya to a man for "sexual servitude." Volunteers found Shaniya's body yesterday, and the man remains in custody, though not yet charged.

That was part of the point I was trying to make Jay. Also, the dems on here have it wrong today here. A lot of those women on welfare who have crack babies don't want to have abortions because they want the extra money in their check. So it's more of an "inconsiderate bitch" issue and less of a GOP issue.

Sorry, I just have to add this. For another thing, regardless of where you stand on abortion it is still a CHOICE. Meaning that women in less than stellar circumstances and livelihoods will (gasp!) choose to have a child. So no matter how we may feel about her choice, it has been made and the child has been born. Therefore, it is important that the child is taken care of regardless of our feelings on the matter.

I do agree though if you are on welfare with one child there is no reason for you have the privledge of getting pregnant again. And yes if a person is capable of doing what she no they did to a innocent, defensive child do not deserve to live not even on death row. Your post is a bit disgusting too. As I understand it, the father was unemployed and the mom happened to be more financially stable at the time and had a job. I'm sure dad didn't realize what a criminal the baby-mama wasl I have to wonder exactly how you would go about keeping a "welfare mother" (there aren't any long term ones since Clinton reformed welfare--5 years is the max) from getting pregnant without doing something that we think of as happening only in Communist China. Were you thinking of forced abortion? forced sterilization? We don't do that in this country anymore, do we? I believe that was called Eugenics and Nazi Germany had a similar program.

What kind of justice system charges the mother--while the man who was seen carrying the child in a hotel on surveillance cameras, has not yet been charged. There is so many things wrong with this case.First of all the dad claims every time he came over to his daughter the mother said she wasn't home.A 5 year old is never at home.If I was her dad I would refuse to leave until I saw my daughter.Second of all the mother was in the process of being evicted from her home.Why would hand your child over to someone who was about to be evicted from their home.Third thing is the child did not have the dad's last name.I don't think its the dad's fault.I don't think he thought she would harm her own child but you have to think what was this man thinking handing this child over to her mother.
