(Newser) – Don’t trust your kids to roam wild on a cruise ship? Neither does Royal Caribbean, which has unveiled an electronic bracelet that allows parents to track their movements onboard. The bracelets will work in conjunction with the cruise line’s new iPhone rental service, USA Today explains. All children will have to wear the bracelets, but only parents who rent the Royal Connect phones—which cost $17.50 and work only onboard—will be able to track them.

if the kids need a bracelet so the parents can find them it should work both ways. the parents should be accessible to their children when they need them too. if you ask me, you should get a sitter and go on holiday yourself.

if you're on a ship so large your kid needs a bracelet, let alone the fact that you can't keep track of your kids, then chance are good you shouldn't be on the ship. And, if it's the latter of the two, where you can't keep track of your kids, then please, do the cruise lines a favor, don't get on ANY ship.
