(AP) – Charles Gibson signed off for the last time from the ABC News anchor desk tonight, bringing to a close his 34 years at the network with Friday's edition of ABC World News. Gibson, 66, called the job he's leaving "a labor of love." Since joining ABC in 1975, he served two stints as co-host of Good Morning America, was an anchor of the Primetime newsmagazine, and tackled numerous assignments as a correspondent.

@Nancy_Knew. Why do Palin supporters find offense whenever a reporter comes across as they should to an individual being interviewed? Seriously, just imagine if she ran and won in 2012, would she address the American public weekly complaining that foreign countries protrayed her in an offenseive manner? If she can't handle a difficult interview she doesn't have the chomps for the political world.

irregardless of how Palin answered or failed to answer in that interveiw....Nancy is right on this....Gibsons body language and tone said it all....with Obama he was all laid back and freindly, like old buds having a fireside chat...with palin he sat up as tall as he could, crowded her and kept looking down his nose at her like he was a bitter old school marm catching a Palin chewing gum in class...biased and chauvinistic indeed..good riddance Gibboon

It wasn't a chauvinistic interview. And once again, it only appeared condescending to those who were upset on her behalf because she was stumped by a couple of decent questions that 1) any thinking human should have the answer to and 2) any half-decent politician should be able to dance around without looking like a goose.
