(Newser) – Times Square had a bit of a scare this afternoon, one day ahead of the big ball dropping. Police partially evacuated the NASDAQ building and another high-rise because of a suspicious abandoned vehicle. The NYPD bomb squad investigated the old van, which had no plates, tinted windows, and hadn't been moved in two days, reports NBC. Cops gave the all-clear about 1pm.
