Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel will be making their only US appearance of the year at the New Orleans Jazz Fest this April. Simon has played the festival before, but it's the first time the duo have ever appeared there together, organizers say. They join a lineup that already includes Aretha Franklin and Van Morrison.

"No American city can so relate to the need for a 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' and the power of being 'Homeward Bound,' " the Jazz Fest director tells the Times-Picayune. (More Simon and Garfunkel stories.)
