(Newser) – New Orleans power running back Deuce McAllister sustained a torn ACL in his left knee during Monday night's 31-14 thumping by the Titans. That means the locally beloved Pro Bowler will miss the rest of the season, compounding New Orleans' hangover in the wake of last year's Cinderella season.

At 0-3, the 2007 Saints look little like last year's 10-6 juggernaut and more like the woeful 3-13 team of 2005—the year McAllister had an ACL tear in his other knee. "I hugged him and started crying," said a teammate. "It's sad. It's hard to take."
