This article is really trying to make it look like it was this "furtive white man". The article says he "stripped down". Give me a break, he just took off his sweater! And he did not stuff the shirt "into a bag".
Just like the beltway snipers in the Virginia area back in 2002. They were telling us over and over it was a white van. It turned out to be two muslims in a blue Chevy Caprice.
The NYPD needs to try a little hard to work up a suspect before making a news release. We would all be a lot safer if they would stick to the facts and not dance around them.
