Verizon Voyager Guns for iPhone

Just as your head begins to ache with the iPhone cacophony, Verizon Wireless today announced its own challenge to Apple's hot commodity—the strikingly similar LG Voyager. A Verizon exclusive, Voyager also features a large touchscreen, but adds a full Qwerty keyboard that slides out sideways. Add Verizon's faster 3G technology and a just-in-time-for-the-holidays rollout, and get out the aspirin.

Voyager features an additional 8GB of memory; HTML web browser; V Cast mobile TV, video, and music; and the ability to play various audio files. And industry watchers say that Voyager, due out before Thanksgiving, won't be alone. "I expect Sprint, T-Mobile, and a variety of other carriers to come out with their version," said one.
