(Newser) – President Obama made a surprisingly out-of-touch gaffe when he joked during an appearance with Dmitry Medvedev that the Cold War-era "red phones" could be replaced with accounts from "Twitters." Yes, Twitters, which, as Twitter-ers were quick to notice, sounds a lot like George W. Bush's infamous "the internets" remark, AOL News reports. "Twitters? This sounded like either a nervous condition or a cross between Twitter and Hooters," writes Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank. Ouch.

Seems to me it was meant to be Twitter'S, As in the headquarters of Twitter's, but that's just me. *shrug* Had he said the twitter, or completely fucked-up the name, then okay, but this seems like really slow news day nit-picking BS.

Actually, I was thinking about when George Bush said "the Google." Oh well, it happens. I don't expect presidents to remember the latest memes on the Internet.

Why is anybody surprised? Now we know why his college papers and all other papers having anything to do with his education and life has been sealed. Someone needs to tell him he isn't nearly as smart as "he" thinks he is. He is just a "smart a**!!!
