Marian Hossa scored his second goal of the game 7:10 into overtime and the Pittsburgh Penguins rallied after giving up a two-goal lead to beat the New York Rangers 3-2 on Sunday and advance to the Eastern Conference finals for the first time in seven years. The Penguins will meet the cross-state Philadelphia Flyers in the first all-Pennsylvania conference final.

Jordan Staal scored a power-play goal in the second period and Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury made the lead stand up, giving the Penguins a 2-0 victory Sunday over New York Rangers and a home-ice sweep of the first two games of their second-round series. Staal's goal was all the offensive support Fleury needed while making 26 saves.

Evgeni Malkin deflected Sidney Crosby's one-timer from the right point on a Pittsburgh power play with 1:41 remaining to finish a frantic comeback, and the Penguins rallied from a three-goal deficit against the New York Rangers for a 5-4 victory in their second-round playoff series opener Friday. Pittsburgh’s Petr Sykora and Marian Hossa scored 20 seconds apart during the comeback.

With tonight's 5-3 loss to the New York Rangers, the Devils were knocked out of the first round of the NHL's Eastern Conference quarterfinals in the fifth game of the best-of-seven series, bowing to a team that has dominated them the entire season by now winning 11 of 13.
