(Newser) - Danny Briere saved the game for the Flyers in regulation and Mike Knuble got them a win away from the second round in a thrilling double-overtime finish. (Newser) - Martin Biron stopped 20 shots in his second straight shutout and led the Philadelphia Flyers to a 2-0 win over Pittsburgh tonight that cost the Penguins the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Daneil Briere beat his former teammate Ryan Miller in the shootout to give Philadelphia a 4-3 victory over the Buffalo Sabres; with the win the Flyers avoided setting a record for most consecutive losses.
