(AP Photo/Jono Searle, Pool) Evacuations continued in Australia today as a flood of “biblical proportions” continued to assault the northeastern part of the country. The flooded area is larger than France and Germany combined, the AP reports. The good news: The rain has stopped, but rivers are still overflowing as the water flows toward the ocean. Communities may be underwater for a week or more, says one official. Adds another, “In many ways, it is a disaster of biblical proportions.” Click for more on the flood.
