(Newser) – A Chinese flight was forced to divert because of a mid-air threat last night, just a day after another security threat forced a New York-bound Air China plane to return to Beijing. The Shenzhen airline flight from Hubei province to the southern city of Shenzhen landed safely in Wuhan following a threat received after take-off, reports CNN. Officials have not revealed the nature of the "threatening information." Police say the initial warning of the Air China threat came from US authorities, who warned their Chinese counterparts that something dangerous was on board.

Two threats of the same type within three days, both from China-US bound flights and both with no information given to the public from the Chinese authorities, and both claim the threat info originated in the US. Hmmm, something smells bad here. And you can call me...............Mr Joshua
