(Newser) – A jury has rejected a claim that the promoter of Michael Jackson's comeback concerts was negligent in hiring the doctor who killed the superstar with a drug overdose. The verdict was read today, roughly five months after opening statements in the case filed by Jackson's mother. Katherine Jackson sought to hold AEG Live LLC responsible for her son's death, arguing that it hired Dr. Conrad Murray to be the singer's physician without considering whether he was fit for the job.

AEG Live denied any wrongdoing and said it was Jackson who hired the doctor. Murray was convicted in 2011 of involuntary manslaughter after giving Jackson the overdose as he prepared for a series of comeback shows. The Jackson family matriarch was seeking hundreds of millions of dollars in damages for herself and her son's three children.

Michael Jackson was a full blown out druggie even to the extent that he had hospital equipment in his bedroom to administer his drugs. Look up greedy in the dictionary and you'll see his mother and father.

But, how will his brothers pay their delinquent child support payments? I bet Ol' Joe Jackson isn't too pleased either. I'm sure he would've had his fingers in the payout also.

The ONLY verdict was rendered. Katherind Jackson is a greedy old bat trying to suck just as many dollars as she can from any source. Ha, I hope she has to pay court costs and other assorted fees.
