No Deal on Custody of Jackson Kids: Rowe Lawyer

Reports of $4M payout 'completely false'

Share

(Newser) – No deal on the custody of Michael Jackson’s children has been reached, Debbie Rowe’s attorney tells CNN. Eric George refuted a story in the New York Post that Rowe had agreed to a $4 million payout to drop her bid to look after Jackson's two elder kids, who are biologically hers, instead of Katherine Jackson, Michael’s mother. The report is “completely false,” George said.

How messed up is it to look at these kids in this jacked up situation and think: 'You know they'd be better off if Madonna just adopted them?' Reply

I assume it's all about the money/payoff. I just wish the children could speak with a judge and let him know whom they would like to stay with. By this time they should have a good idea of whom would make a better parent Katherine Jackson (minus Joe) and the Jackson family or Debbie Rowe. Reply

I would like to think Rowe is doing this to keep Joe away from the kids, but the realist in me is inclined to believe money is the motivator.

It just absolutely irks me to think that Debbie Rowe is liable to make one penny off this deal. I thought Michael Jackson had already paid her off to stay out of their children's lives.
