3.5M hits daily lands Michigan grads in the money

(Newser) – Raunchy and funny text messages about love and lust have rocketed two recent college grads to easy street, reports the Detroit Free Press. Michigan friends Ben Bator and Lauren Leto loved their pals' outlandish texts so much they launched a Web site to share the fun. It was an instant hit, to the tune of 3 million daily visits. The two are now sifting through thousands of texts a day to pick the funniest and naughtiest.

The pair have put off law school to sort through T-shirt and book deals. Most of the posts on textsfromlastnight.com are too dirty to publish on a news site. Leto's mom has been pressuring her to tone down the offerings. "Is this the first thing that we say to someone we're sitting next to on a plane with a Bible in hand? No," Leto said. "But we're really proud of it."

Man, why can't I come up with ideas like this. Okay, I'll try one. I'll take pictures of people swimming in our school fountain and upload them to a site call Idiots in Fountains Daily or ifd.com. Recipe for success? Either that or I will make a YouTube series predicated entirely on the new Taliban leader's resemblance to an Arab Jack Sparrow. Reply
