Kate will faces contempt for declining to account for $55,000

(Newser) – Jon Gosselin has returned enough of the $180,000 he withdrew from a family bank account to avoid being held in contempt of court, his lawyer says. Instead, his estranged wife may end up in contempt: The court also ordered Kate Gosselin to account for $55,000 she took from the account, Mark Heller tells People. The lawyer wouldn’t say how much Jon returned, but he did have the option to reserve some of the $180,000 if he showed it was put to “appropriate use.”

(NEWSER) - What a relief: Kate Gosselin and her eight children will not go hungry, because the former reality TV star has found a new job as … a part-time blogger for a coupon website, the Los Angeles Times reports. TLC officials have announced they're not renewing the contract for Kate Plus 8 (formerly Jon and Kate Plus 8 before Jon left for greener pastures with fewer children). TLC tried to soften the blow by pointing out that the reality series featuring the Gosselin brood of twins plus sextuplets will hit the 150-episode mark by the end of this season, "an exceptional milestone."
