Parents Council Freaks Over Gossip Girl Threesome

Urges local affiliates to preempt the program

(Newser) – The Parents Television Council is on the warpath, this time over news that the upcoming episode of Gossip Girl will feature a threesome. The group has sent a letter to CW affiliates warning that they’ll be “complicit in establishing a precedent and expectation that teenagers should engage in behaviors heretofore associated primarily with adult films,” unless they pre-empt the program.

The letter says that the local affiliates have the right to censor the broadcast, citing an FCC ruling that local stations can bump shows that are “unsuitable or contrary to the public interest.” The CW declined to comment.

Oh brother. Jeeze, parents, just don't let your kids watch television! Take some responsibility! Why shouldn't I get to watch something because YOU don't think it's appropriate? You want to prevent everyone from seeing something because it offends YOU? Reply

Of course they feel that way. It's all about them, them, them and they couldn't care less what happens to everyone else. As long as they get their way they don't give a damn. Oh that and they probably can't be bothered with having to supervise what their kids watch.

You've got that one right. No parental responsibility, so they want a Big Brother (corporations, networks, TV stations, the government, etc) to do it for them AND they want Big Brother to do it THEIR way. I'm sick of having somebody else's stupid morality shoved down my throat. I swear by Janet's nipple I'm sick of it!!

I agree with you Thinker, It pisses me off that i cannot watch the lesbian porn i want to watch, just because SOME people think its inappropriate..
