Gerbe scores two goals as Eagles win title game in third try

(Newser) - Nathan Gerbe no longer has to be a gracious runner-up. The nation's leading scorer led Boston College to the NCAA hockey championship that had eluded the talent-laden Eagles the last two seasons. Gerbe scored twice and added two assists in B.C.'s 4-1 win over Notre Dame at the sold-out Pepsi Center tonight as the Eagles finally hoisted the trophy after losing in the title game the past two years. Eagles soar to 6-1 victory over North Dakota Fighting Sioux

(Newser) - Nathan Gerbe's hat trick helped Boston College advance to its third straight championship game. John Muse stopped 28 shots as the Eagles skated to  a 6-1 victory over the North Dakota Fighting Sioux tonight in the Frozen Four semifinals.
