The accused killer of an 8-year-old California girl has been linked to an earlier abduction of a child in the same community, reports the Tracy Press. A 7-year-old girl was led from her neighborhood in January by a woman driving the same kind of car belonging to Sunday school teacher Melissa Huckaby. The teacher was charged last week with murdering Sandra Cantu, a friend of Huckaby's young daughter. Huckaby, Cantu and the abducted girl all lived in the same trailer park.

The girl taken in January was held by the woman in a nearby park for four hours and given drugs, according to a police report. Her parents took her to a local hospital when she was returned, and doctors discovered a muscle relaxant in her bloodstream. The woman was tentatively identified in the police report as a "granddaughter" of trailer park residents. Huckaby was living there at the time with her grandparents.
