A Sidney Crosby shootout blast iced this year's Winter Classic as 71,217 fans endured freezing temperatures and saw Pittsburgh deep-freeze Buffalo 2-1, the AP reports. Colby Armstrong scored a 1-0 lead for the Penguins, 21 seconds into the game, and Brian Campbell tied the game with 1:25 in the second period. The teams survived tricky ice and nasty flurries in the first outdoor NHL game to be played in the US.
