  • Credibility: "Even before all of this happened, he had credibility issues in his testimony, three days of testimony," says Democratic Sen. Mazie Hirono on State of the Union about Kavanaugh, per CNN. "His credibility is already very questionable in my mind and in the minds of a lot of my fellow Judiciary Committee members."
  • Taking our time: "There's no rush here," says GOP Sen. David Perdue on Meet the Press about upcoming Senate hearings to air Ford's accusations, per NBC News. "If we don't get all the information this week, I have total confidence that Sen. Grassley will take his time and make sure we have all the information we need."
  • He said, she said: "Well, the way the Senate Republicans have now set this up, that is what we're going to have is, do you believe her, or do you believe him?" says Sen. Patty Murray, a Democrat, on Meet the Press, per the Hill. "That is exactly why we have been pressing for an FBI investigation that should only take a few days."
  • Feeling uneasy: "I do believe that she has not been treated well over the course of this and the Republicans, many of them ... feel uneasy with the way this has been handled," says Sen. Dick Durbin, a Democrat, about the Senate Judiciary Committee's handling of Ford's accusations, per ABC News.
  • Just one exception: "With the exception of one document, I don't think anybody's mind is going to be changed when they read this stuff," GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy says on Face the Nation about Mueller-probe documents that Trump recently declassified but delayed releasing, per the Hill. Gowdy doesn't discuss the exception.
  • Oh, the world: "From what we see, we believe that [Iran] is doing that," says British Prime Minister Theresa May on Face the Nation about whether Iran is adhering to the 2015 nuclear deal, per CBS News. While ballistic missiles and regional destabilization are legitimate issues with Iran, she says, "we also want to ensure that we have a nuclear deal in place that prevents them from getting a nuclear weapon."
