General Mills Recalls Gold Medal Flour
General Mills is recalling Gold Medal unbleached flour.   (FDA)

It may not be the first product that comes to mind in regard to E. coli dangers, but another brand of flour has been recalled for just that reason. General Mills has issued a voluntary recall of 5-pound bags of Gold Medal Unbleached All Purpose Flour, per the FDA. The bags affected have a "better if used by" date of Sept. 6, 2020, and a UPC code of 016000 196100. About 600,000 pounds of flour are affected, reports USA Today. "The recall is being issued for the potential presence of E. coli O26 which was discovered during sampling," says a statement from General Mills. The company says it hasn't received any reports of illnesses. (King Arthur issued a similar recall recently.)
