(Newser) – Even the pope gets a little ruffled in public sometimes. As he walked in St. Peter's Square on Tuesday, Pope Francis greeted a few people, then turned from the crowd. At that point, a woman seized his hand and pulled him toward her. A "visibly indignant" Francis smacked the woman's hand away, per Reuters, which says the woman's move appeared to cause the 83-year-old pontiff some pain. (See the video here.) On Wednesday, the pope addressed the incident publicly. "So many times we lose our patience; me too, and I apologize for yesterday’s bad example,” he said, per the Washington Post. It was unclear what the woman had been trying to say to the pope. (Read more Pope Francis stories.)
