The blogger model who lost her left hand after accidentally stepping into the propeller of a plane has now also lost her left eye. The family of Lauren Scruggs, 23, said they prayed in vain this week that the eye could be saved. “Along with the pain she was already experiencing with her arm and shoulder injuries, the removal of the eye is also very painful,” the family's website message says. “We are asking again for prayers to relieve this pain, and also, as we have posted previously, pray for Lo to regain her appetite. This is crucial for her body to heal quickly.”

Scruggs, who founded Lolomag.com, stepped into the propeller in the dark after finishing an aerial tour of holiday lights near her Texas home earlier this month. Her face, head and left arm were severely injured. She's now walking unassisted and smiling, her dad told ABC News. "It's a miracle to see the progress that she's been making. She's got her spunk back, her personality.” Mom Cheryl said even though her daughter is now facing a great "challenge," the family feels "blessed" she didn't die. Lauren "really shouldn't be alive," she added. "We're lucky to have her." (More Lauren Scruggs stories.)
