Priorities USA Action, the super PAC supporting President Obama, has been struggling, raising just $6 million last month—and one-sixth of that came from a single source: Actor Morgan Freeman is putting his money where his mouth is, Politico reports, donating a cool million bucks to the super PAC. In a statement, Freeman praised Obama, saying he has "done a remarkable job in historically difficult circumstances." He specifically lauded the end of combat operations in Iraq, Wall Street reforms, ObamaCare, his choices in Supreme Court justices, and the Detroit bailout.

"I am proud to lend my voice—and support—to those who defend him," said Freeman. "Priorities USA Action is doing a great job of protecting the values I believe in. I am happy to help them and I hope others will join me." (More Election 2012 stories.)
