Bikini Anchor Fired After Arrest
Philadelphia news anchor Alycia Lane has been fired by her station weeks after her arrest for allegedly assaulting a New York police officer.    (AP)

A Philadelphia television news anchor embroiled in a road rage incident with undercover New York police officers has been fired, the Philadelphia  Daily News reports. Alycia Lane, 35, was arrested last month for allegedly shoving a female officer and using a sexual slur after a slow-moving unmarked police car delayed her in Manhattan traffic. It was only the latest Lane incident to grab gossip headlines.

Earlier last year, Lane sent pictures of herself in a bikini to an NFL sportscaster, and the photos were intercepted by his wife. "It would be impossible for Alycia to continue to report the news as she herself has become the focus of so many news stories," said the manager of CBS station KYW-TV. The assault case against Lane is still pending. She's expected to file a wrongful termination suit against the station. (More Alycia Lane stories.)
