(Newser) – Visitors to a yodelling festival in Switzerland were treated to an unexpected fly-by from the country's fighter jet display team—who were flying over the wrong town. The Patrouille Suisse, the equivalent of the US Navy's Blue Angels, were supposed to be flying over a town four miles away to mark the centenary of the death of aviation pioneer Oskar Bider, but the squadron leader thought a tent set up for the yodelling festival was part of the Bider event, the BBC reports. Deutsche Welle reports that a military spokesman told local media that the F-5E Tiger II jets involved are all more than 40 years old and navigate with "map, felt pen, and sight" instead of GPS. "The yodel festival patrons are reported to have enjoyed the unexpected show," according to the BBC. (Read more Switzerland stories.)
