The parents of missing toddler Madeleine McCann flew home to England today after being named as suspects in their daughter's disappearance by Portuguese police. "While it is heartbreaking to return to the UK without Madeleine, it does not mean we are giving up the search for her," said Maddy's father, Gerry.

Clutching their 2-year-old twins, Sean and Amelie, the couple touched down in central England and headed to their home in Leicestershire. McCann again insisted that he and his wife had nothing to do with Maddy's disappearance. She vanished from the family's holiday apartment in Portugal while the couple was dining out. Police said they found evidence linking Maddy to a car the McCanns rented after she disappeared. (More Portugal stories.)
