Moore to Obama: 'Show Some Guts,' Arrest S&P CEO

Michael Moore wants President Obama to arrest the head of Standard & Poor's, blaming the company for the 2008 financial crisis and saying their downgrading of US government debt is threatening to create another one, reports the Washington Times. “Pres Obama, show some guts & arrest the CEO of Standard & Poors," Moore tweeted. "These criminals brought down the economy in 2008& now they will do it again.”

And if Obama does not take things up a notch, Moore has a A-list alternative for the Oval Office: Matt Damon, notes the Toronto Sun. Moore suggested the actor in an online chat Sunday, saying Damon has shown a willingness to take stands, even if they might not be popular or easy. "If you wanna win, the Republicans have certainly shown the way that when you run someone who is popular you win," he wrote, "sometimes even when you run an actor." (More Michael Moore stories.)
