Is Jennifer Aniston pulling a James Franco? The Express reports that she’ll appear in several episodes of Days of Our Lives, on which her father has appeared for the past 24 years, in an attempt to save her dad’s job. NBC is looking to ax the show for poor ratings, but Jen hopes she can boost those ratings. She’ll supposedly play a “frazzled” wedding planner helping her father’s character get married.

“We’re hoping Jen will join us in November, when all the networks are at their most competitive,” says a source. “She has said she wants to help but her schedule is so tight we may have to cram a lot of shooting into just a few days.” A close friend of Aniston’s adds, “The idea of a semi-comedic role opposite her dad is hugely appealing to Jennifer,” and says she’s “happy to take the bare minimum Screen Actors’ Guild day rate,” which the paper notes is less than $645 a day.
