Illegal Obama Uncle Had SSN, License

The headline birthers dream of—"Illegal Kenyan Immigrant Obama Busted"—has become reality with the arrest of a relative of President Obama's in Massachusetts. Obama Onyango, a half-brother of Obama's father, was charged last week with drunk driving after nearly slamming his SUV into a police car. Onyango, who told cops "I think I will call the White House," is being held without bail on a federal immigration warrant. He has previously been ordered to deport.

Onyango—believed to be the "Uncle Omar" mentioned in Obama's memoir, Dreams From My Father—has had a valid Social Security number and Massachusetts driver’s license for at least 19 years despite being an illegal immigrant, the Boston Herald finds. The 67-year-old is the brother of the Obama aunt who won the right to stay in the US last year. When a reporter asked her about her brother's arrest, Zeituni Onyango said: "Why don’t you go to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC, and ask your president? Not me," before hanging up.
