Anders Behring Breivik insists he's not crazy, and that being declared criminally insane would be "a fate worse than death." The man who killed 77 people in Norway last summer has written a 38-page letter, in which he attempts to discredit the psychiatric report that deemed him a paranoid schizophrenic, the AFP reports. "To send a political activist to an asylum is more sadistic and more evil than killing him," he writes. "It would be the ultimate humiliation."

Breivik says he found more than "200 lies" in the psychiatric report. "The problem is that 80% of the content … is completely made up," he writes, turning the tables on his evaluators. "The very brutal, and for them incomprehensible, actions, combined with our incompatible ideological opinion differences resulted in a conclusion that most probably emerged as a result of out-of control emotions." A court has already ordered a second evaluation of Breivik. If he is found criminally insane, he could be sentenced to a psychiatric ward rather than prison. (More Anders Behring Breivik stories.)
