A police dog named Diesel was killed during an operation Wednesday targeting the apparent mastermind of the Paris terror attacks. Authorities on Twitter say the 7-year-old Belgian shepherd, an assault and explosives search animal, "was killed by terrorists in the current operation in Saint-Denis." Police add at least five officers suffered minor injuries, noting some were caused when a female suspect blew herself up using a vest laden with explosives, per the Independent. Police have arrested seven people; two suspects were killed. The Guardian reports the hashtag #JeSuisChien ("chien" is French for "dog") is now trending on Twitter in France.
