Demi Moore is being sued by the parents of a 21-year-old man who drowned in a pool at her home two years ago, TMZ reports. Moore's caretaker threw a party at the house while the actress was out of town. The bulk of the guests left the house to go out, returning to find Edenilson Valle dead in the pool, according to the New York Daily News. Authorities say Valle, who couldn't swim, tripped, fell into the pool, and drowned. The death was ruled an accident.
Valle's parents filed the lawsuit in February against the house manager and property trustee; Moore was added to the lawsuit this week. The lawsuit claims Moore is liable for "abundant dangerous conditions" near the pool. Valle's parents say the area around the pool was too dark and decorative rocks were tripping hazards. They also say their son had "medical conditions" that made hot water—the pool was 101 degrees—dangerous for him. The lawsuit claims there was no safety signage or depth markers around the pool. It also blames Moore for hiring the caretaker, who served alcohol at the party, thereby making it dangerous to be near the pool. (Read more Demi Moore stories.)
