Teens Caught Joyriding —in a Stolen Plane
The stolen plane.   (Uintah County Sheriff's Office)

It is not your ordinary teenage joyride. Police in Unitah County, Utah, say a pair of boys ages 14 and 15 stole a single-plane from an airport and took it for a spin before returning safely to the same airport. Both are being held in a youth detention center, reports ABC News. The county sheriff's department says the boys first commandeered a tractor and drove it to the Vernal Regional Airport in Jensen, where they managed to fly away in a fixed-wing sport plane. Witnesses reported seeing them flying low over US-40 about 30 miles away before they turned back. Prior to the plane theft, the boys had left a group home and were staying with friends in Jensen, say police. (Maybe they're familiar with Colton Harris-Moore?)
