Police in Mississippi have arrested a man believed linked to the slaying of 7-year old Somer Thompson last fall. Jared Harrell lived in the same Florida neighborhood as the Thompson family until recently. He is being held on 29 unrelated charges of possession of child pornography, AP reports.

Thompson's body was found in a landfill in Georgia, 50 miles away from her Clay County home, three days after she disappeared last year. FBI investigators are searching Harrell's former home in the neighborhood. Two residences in Mississippi and a vehicle are also being searched in connection with the case, according to authorities.
