Seeking Solace, Tucson Honors Victims at Mass

Tucson's citizens gathered by the hundreds last night, crowded under the roof of the Catholic church where Christina Taylor Green used to sing in the choir to pay homage to her and the other victims of Saturday's shootings just blocks from where they took place. "I know she is singing with us tonight," said the bishop. "Everyone in our community is in grief. We are in tears."

For the more than 400 attending, it was a chance to seek the solace of community in attempting to make sense of the tragedy, reports the AP. "I did everything I could to defeat (Giffords) and yet it doesn't make a difference," said one Tea Partier attending. "It doesn't mean she deserves to be shot."
