Site Pitches 'Pig-Fat' Bullets for Muslim Terrorists

A website is pitching pig oil to coat bullets to stop shot Muslim terrorists from entering paradise—and claims Osama bin Laden was dispatched with just such a bullet. "One shot, one soul," touts the Silver Bullet site, which claims the bizarre product is aimed at triggering "demoralizing fear and terror into the supposedly 'fearless' islamo-fascist terrorists" who can't make it to paradise if they're contaminated by a pig product. A bottle of Silver Bullet Gun Oil (4 ounces for $8.95) contains "13% USDA liquefied pig fat mixed with a blended, high-grade weapons oil designed for use in all firearms," the site claims. The oil, applied to gun barrels, will coat fired bullets, the site promises.

The seller, who calls himself Midnite Rider and the Warrior of Yahweh, claims to be a former Marine sniper, and says that "thousands" of bottles of the oil have been distributed to members of the US military. That boast, and the claim that a pig-fat bullet was used on bin Laden is "highly unlikely," notes Mother Jones, which describes the product as "snake oil for Islamaphobes." Members of the military are allowed to procure their own weapon accessories, such as gun oil, but dealing with Silver Bullet would like violate war-zone regs against proselytizing and disrespecting locals, according to the magazine. Oh, one caveat from the site: "This product is for use on armed Muslim terrorists only." The site adds: "We do not promote discrimination against any race or religion, only terrorists."
