A Los Angeles-area 24-year-old was arrested yesterday after allegedly making a Facebook threat to kill young school children. Kyle Bangayan was arrested at his parents' home, a search of which turned up nine guns, all seized by police, the Los Angeles Times reports. Police found "no related evidence" at Bangayan's home. Sources say no school was named in his post, but it mentioned "kindergarten and elementary school kids." He is being held on $500,000 bail.

Meanwhile, police now say an Indiana man who threatened to "kill as many people as he could" at a nearby elementary school on Friday morning was bluffing, the AP reports. Von Meyer made the comment while arguing with his wife, whom he threatened to set on fire and kill "at the school," where she worked in the cafeteria, police say. "This was something he said in the heat of an argument. He hadn’t been plotting this," explains the police chief. Most of the 47 weapons found at Meyer's home were antique collector's items, he added. (More school shooting stories.)
