Gilberto Valle, the so-called "cannibal cop," was found guilty today on all charges related to his plan to kidnap, torture, and eat several women, including his wife, reports the New York Post. Valle's attorney argued his depraved online chats were just fantasies and fiction, but the jury took 16 hours of deliberations to decide that he was deadly serious. Valle faces up to life in prison for his plots. "The Internet is a forum for the free exchange of ideas, but it does not confer immunity for plotting crimes and taking steps to carry out those crimes," said the Manhattan US attorney.
