We're still not entirely sure what Bob Filner allegedly did to the anonymous women alleging sexual harassment against him, but it must have been bad. Filner released a statement last night apologizing profusely for his conduct. "I am embarrassed to admit that I have failed to fully respect the women who work for me and with me," he said. "It's a good thing that behavior that would have been tolerated in the past is being called out in this generation for what it is: inappropriate and wrong."

"I am also humbled to admit that I need help," he continued, saying he was working with "professionals" and would undergo sexual harassment training. He does not, however, seem inclined to step down, as some of his former supporters urged him to do yesterday. At a press conference, those supporters declined to go into specifics about the allegations, saying Filner's accusers weren't ready to come forward. "It's not our place to relate their stories," one attorney said, according to ABC 10. (More Bob Filner stories.)
