Kickstarter: We Got Hacked, Change Your Password
Yancey Strickler is co-founder of NYC-based Kickstarter, the world's largest funding platform for creative projects.   (XOXO Festival)

Kickstarter was the victim of a hack last week, and its CEO is advising users to re-set their passwords as a result, reports CNN. "(W)e strongly recommend that you create a new password for your Kickstarter account, and other accounts where you use this password," Yancey Strickler said in a post. "We're incredibly sorry that this happened. This incident is frustrating and upsetting." Kickstarter isn't saying how many accounts were affected, but says "there is no evidence of unauthorized activity of any kind on all but two Kickstarter user accounts." Credit card numbers were not affected. (More Kickstarter stories.)
