Nicole Harris went into her bathroom Wednesday night—and walked out with an unexpected baby in her arms. The Tennessee woman didn't feel well, but once she got to the bathroom, she soon figured out she was in labor—despite the fact that she'd had no pregnancy symptoms and no idea she was expecting, WATE reports. She got into the bathtub and delivered 6-pound, 7-ounce baby Jeremiah, cut the umbilical cord, cleaned and wrapped up the baby, then woke up boyfriend Jeremy Hill—who was in bed through the whole thing—and asked him to call 911.

"I sat in the tub. I just [thought] that would be a safe spot and not on the floor or whatever," Harris explains. Adds Hill, "When I woke up, she had a baby in her arms." But, as ABC 7 reports, Hill apparently was a bit more suspicious than Harris that she might be expecting: "I was just thinking, 'We might have a long nine months ahead of us. You might be pregnant,'" he says. "And, boom. It was like, you don't have nine months. You have now." At the hospital, it was determined Jeremiah is healthy and full-term, and friends are collecting baby items for the unprepared couple; Harris and Hill are both parents, but this is their first child together. (This sort of thing may seem rare, but there are many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many, many recent examples. (More pregnancy stories.)
