The Easter Bunny isn't always a happy-go-lucky bearer of chocolate. Around 7pm on Sunday, for example, he found himself at the center of a brawl at the Newport Centre shopping mall in Jersey City, reports the New York Daily News. Police say the incident began when a girl fell from a chair after taking a photo with the Easter Bunny—or rather, a 22-year-old man in a furry white suit, reports ABC 7. The man told police that the father of the girl began verbally and physically assaulting him, which apparently led to a brawl.

Kevin Pineda, who watched the scene from a second-floor balcony, tells the Washington Post that "a woman was attacking the man in the bunny suit." A video shot by Pineda shows the Easter Bunny throwing punches into a crowd of people as children stand nearby, per NJ.com. A man drags the Easter Bunny away from a man in a brown coat but the Bunny returns, throws off his furry gloves, and brawls again. A second video shows security officers intervene. Police are investigating, though no charges have been filed. (More weird crimes stories.)
