That's the takeaway from WalletHub's ranking of the worst US cities for drivers, based on gas prices, hours spent in traffic, crash deaths, car thefts, parking fees, and more in the country's 100 biggest cities. The 10 cities drivers might want to avoid:

  1. Washington, DC
  2. Detroit
  3. San Francisco
  4. Chicago
  5. Philadelphia
  6. Baltimore
  7. Oakland (Calif.)
  8. New York City
  9. Seattle
  10. Boston
