President Trump slammed James Comey as a "weak and untruthful slime ball" Friday as unflattering details from the former FBI director's soon-to-be-released memoir continue to trickle out. "It was my great honor to fire James Comey!" who is "a proven LEAKER & LIAR" and "should be prosecuted," Trump said, also referring to Comey's "handling of the Crooked Hillary Clinton case" as "one of the worst 'botch jobs' of history." Trump wrote Comey was, "as time has proven, a terrible Director of the FBI. ... Virtually everyone in Washington thought he should be fired for the terrible job he did-until he was, in fact, fired."

The attack came as major media outlets reported details from Comey's memoir, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership, which describes Trump as "unethical," "untethered to the truth," and driven by ego; calls his presidency a "forest fire"; and compares his administration to the mob, with its "silent circle of assent." Comey also jabs at Trump's appearance, mentioning his "slightly orange" face and that his hands are smaller than Comey's. Kellyanne Conway called out the memoir's "unnecessary immature potshots," per the Washington Post. Read more on its details here. (More President Trump stories.)
